Tori Anne Davidson

Tori’s Memorial Site:

Tori Anne Davidson, beloved member of the Susan and Valerie Davidson household passed away peacefully at 0940 August 14, 2014. She was 14 years old.

Tori joined the Davidson’s on August 14, 2000.  She was an APS rescue and thought to be a feral kitty about six weeks of age found without siblings or parents.  She was a feisty cat and quickly showed Sue and Valerie that she would not passively accept house rules and wished things to be done on her schedule.  She demanded to be an outside kitty, supervised the installation of a kitty door allowing her to stroll through the neighborhood at her leisure.  She enjoyed creating mayhem by bringing in small rodents and observing the human occupants loudly running around trying to return her prizes to the wild.  She walked with a swagger and had a beautiful lopsided, mischievous grin.

Tori enjoyed sleeping in the porcelain bathroom sink over a heat duct in the winter, climbing to the top of neighbor’s roofs, jumping on top of the outside tent and resting on the deck rail.  She enjoyed watching the world from the heights. She quickly trained the human occupants as to her food preferences and particularly enjoyed kitty treats from Whole Foods.

In her later more mature years, Tori was a constant companion to Sue, was an expert foot warmer and accompanied Sue on daily outside walks and tasks around the house. She enjoyed sleeping on her love seat outside where she kept one ear angled upward listening to the sounds of birds, squirrels and the wind. She was loving, loyal and will be remembered as a wonderful companion and family member.

Many thanks to Dr. Jason Smith and the staff of Timberlyne Just for Cats for their warm, compassionate care.
